Carers Victoria 

Carers Victoria is a leading not-for-profit organisation, working to make sure that the almost one million unpaid carers across the state are understood, recognised and supported. We do this by providing information, advice and respite services to carers; by hosting education sessions and events to support them in their role; by gathering and analysing data and producing reports about carers and what they need; and by raising broad awareness of carers across the whole community. We are in a significant period of change, looking at how we can reach and support even more carers through innovative models, systems and thinking.

 

The Position 

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will use your knowledge of social and digital channels and skills in creative execution, to deepen engagement and promote the work of Carers Victoria.

Core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintaining core digital assets, including Carer’s Victoria’s website and social media platforms.
  • Ensuring information remains up to date, and that these assets are compliant with accessibility and usability requirements, and organisational style and branding guidelines.  
  • Managing and executing social media strategies across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) with a strong emphasis on driving organic traffic through engaging posts and video content.
  • Creating and scheduling creative content  
  • Developing and executing digital campaigns 
  • Managing the organisation’s website including monitoring, updating, enhancing and reporting analytics and insights 

 

The Person

This exciting opportunity will suit an individual who is looking for a role that makes a difference. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A tertiary qualification in marketing and communications or relevant other qualification  
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in a similar role/s  
  • Proven experience developing and delivering impactful digital media campaigns and content planning  
  • Demonstrated website, particularly WordPress, experience  
  • Experience with website CMS management  
  • Hands on experience with database marketing and email marketing tools like MailChimp  
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms (Meta, LinkedIn Campaigns etc.) as well as the Google suite (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Good My Business), plus SEO/SEM tools  
  • Excellent workflow and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities

  • Part time 0.8 FTE ongoing role
  • $89,300 gross pro rata + super + salary packaging
  • Hybrid work arrangement, with offices conveniently located in Melbourne CBD
