About the role
The Manager Continuous Quality Improvement plays a pivotal leadership role, responsible for designing and embedding Carers Victoria’s Care Governance Framework and ensuring a robust, proportionate and outcomes-focused approach to risk management, compliance and service quality across all programs.
This is a strategic and hands-on position, working across teams to drive a culture of continuous improvement, client safety and accountability. The role also serves as Carers Victoria’s Child Safeguarding Officer, ensuring our compliance with Child Safe Standards and broader legislative obligations.
What you’ll be doing
- Design & embed a fit for purpose Care Governance Framework aligned with our strategic goals
- Lead organisation wide quality improvement initiatives, compliance and audit readiness
- Provide strategic advice to executive leaders, board committees and internal teams
- Oversee the performance and compliance of contracted service providers
- Champion a culture of practice excellence, learning and service innovation
- Lead our approach to managing complaints, compliments, incidents and feedback
- Act as Carers Victoria’s Child Safeguarding Officer, ensuring child safety is fully embedded in policies and practice
- Engage with external stakeholders, including funders, regulators and peak bodies.
Skills & experience
You are a trusted leader with deep expertise in quality systems, governance and service delivery in health, clinical or community service settings. You bring both strategic thinking and operational drive and you thrive in environments where collaboration and improvement are valued.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience designing and embedding quality improvement and governance frameworks
- Extensive background in clinical, health related or community services, ideally in social work, allied health or similar
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including Aged Care Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards, MARAM and Reportable Conduct.
- Proven ability to lead cultural and systemic change through influence, collaboration, and capability building
- Experience working with contracted service providers, regulators and peak bodies
- Skills in policy writing, quality reporting, and executive briefings.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualified in social work, allied health, community services or related discipline is essential
- Additional certification in quality management, governance and compliance is highly desirable.
